What Fabrics Do You Use in Sai Sankoh Kaftans?

Sai Sankoh kaftans are crafted from silks, rayon, cotton, and satin blends — chosen for their drape, durability, and elegance from day to night.

What Fabrics Do You Use in Sai Sankoh Kaftans?

We use high-quality silks, viscose/rayon blends, breathable cottons, and select linen and satin blends. Fabric choice balances luxurious drape, travel performance, and print clarity — each selected for specific silhouettes and occasions.

Fabric selection is central to the kaftan’s purpose. Silk and satin provide luxurious sheen for evening wear; their fluidity is ideal for formal silhouettes. Viscose/rayon and modal blends offer excellent drape and breathability — perfect for daytime resortwear and travel. Cotton lawn or light cotton blends are chosen for casual beachwear because they breathe and launder well. For structured sets or tiered skirts, we may use taffeta or mixed-satin blends to hold shape and create drama.

Fabric weight dictates movement: lighter fabrics float on warm nights, heavier ones provide a richer look. We work with trusted mills and inspect for colorfastness, shrinkage, and hand-feel before approving a run.
