The designer
Sai Sankoh worked as a nurse before she became a full-time designer. She started a fashion blog and built a name in street style at New York Fashion Week, then launched her own label in 2018. D Magazine profiled the nurse-to-designer story in 2019, and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) ran a Designer Spotlight on her in February 2021. Her prints are inspired by the bright colors of the markets in Sierra Leone.
