Dallas · 2018 · The First Collection

Where It Began

The collection that started everything — where it began, and where some of these prints now take their bow.

Where It Began

Dallas, 2018. The first room. The first print. The first time it turned.

Before There Was a Name

I wore them first — before any of this had a name.

Drawn by Hand, Cut by Instinct

Made by a woman who hadn't yet been told what she couldn't do.

A Room That Didn't Know Yet

No audience. No certainty. Only the decision to begin.

Some of These Are Leaving

A few of these prints won't return. This is where they began — and where they take their bow.

What Begins Something

What starts a thing deserves to be remembered when it goes.

Everything That Came After

Lives somewhere in these first frames.

The Beginning, Kept

The first chapter doesn't close. It makes room for the next.

Where Sai Sankoh began

Sai Sankoh was born in Sierra Leone and raised across the world, Sweden, London, Ghana, and finally the United States at fifteen. Before fashion, she spent years as a pediatric nurse, caring for children at their most fragile. That history is stitched into the brand, the eye for beauty, and the deep respect for the woman wearing the clothes.

She built this house from nothing, as founder, creative director, and the woman behind every print. The line was named Best Resortwear by D Magazine, and has been worn by Beyoncé, Iman, and Tamron Hall, but the heart of it has never changed. It is for the woman who refuses to go unnoticed.

Every piece carries that origin, made to help a woman walk into a room and be remembered. Read more in our story and meet the Sai Sankoh woman.
