She was born and bred in Nigeria to her oil tycoon father and a beauty queen mother. Even though they had enough money for their daughter to get educated abroad, like most of their friend’s children, instead Nina’s parents had her raised in Lagos so she could understand the importance of her culture. It was also importance for them that she learned about the struggles faced in Africa on a daily basis, it was because of this Nina chose to dedicate her life to being a humanitarian, rather than learning the family business. She has worked alongside the best charities that include UNICEF and the Peace Corps. She has been traveling all over West Africa, helping build schools for children and providing them with resources. Now that she’s home again she looks forward to spending time with family, lounging through Lagos in her bright floral print kaftan.
