Start with one piece that does the work
A long kaftan reads dressed without the production of a gown. You put it on, you walk in, and people ask you where it is from. That is the whole point of the night.
It also solves the harder problem. You are dressing in a small cabin, often after a long day off the ship. One piece is faster than an outfit you have to assemble.

Common questions
Is a kaftan dressy enough for a formal night?
It depends on the line and on how you wear it. A floor-length kaftan in an original print reads as dressed for dinner, a reception or a dress-up night. If your sailing specifies black tie, read the line's own wording first.
What size should I order?
Goddess Kaftans are one size and fit 0-24. Our sized styles run XS to XXL.
How should I pack it?
Roll it rather than folding it hard along the same crease. If it needs freshening on board, hang it in the bathroom while you shower.
What about shoes and bags?
Keep them simple. The kaftan is the thing people will comment on. Anything that competes with it works against you.
One more night to plan for
Formal nights are not the only time you will want something good. Embarkation dinner, the specialty restaurants and the last night at sea are all rooms where people dress. The same piece covers more than one of them.
